Epiandrosterone is a naturally occurring androgenic steroid compound. PubChem identifies it as an androgen and a human metabolite — meaning your body already produces and processes it as part of normal steroid metabolism.
In the supplement world it appears under the shortened name Epi-Andro, sold in oral products aimed at bodybuilders. Those two facts — that it exists in human physiology, and that it's sold in capsules — get collapsed into a single argument constantly, and they shouldn't be.
Epi-Andro is usually marketed on the basis of its position in androgen metabolism and its relationship to DHT pathways. That relationship is real biochemistry and worth understanding.
What doesn't follow is the argument built on top of it. The reasoning normally runs: DHT is more androgenic than testosterone, Epi-Andro sits in the DHT pathway, therefore an oral Epi-Andro product builds muscle in the amount the label suggests.
Every step of that chain except the first is doing unearned work. Oral bioavailability, conversion efficiency, the dose that actually reaches circulation, and what happens to body composition as a result are all separate empirical questions — and they are the questions without good answers.
This question needs splitting, because the answers come from different systems and people constantly merge them.
WADA prohibition is an anti-doping status. It tells a tested athlete that using this substance can result in a sanction. It is not a statement about criminal law, civil law, or FDA approval.
General legality and regulatory status vary by jurisdiction and are separate questions again. What's sold openly in one country may be classified differently in another.
That's why there's no green or red "legal" badge on this page. A single badge would have to be wrong somewhere, and a specific answer requires a specific jurisdiction.
No protocol here — and not because we're being coy. Hormone recovery isn't something that can be reduced to a generic DIY schedule written for a stranger, and the evidence behind the standard bodybuilding answer is much weaker than its confidence suggests.
